If you want to upload an mp3, just click "file attatchments" below and upload it! Collective members have a limit of 5 meg at this point, which is probably best. If you want to put a larger file up, talk to an administrator or use sftp if you know how.
Someday we should have an integrated audio player, but it's not ready for this version of drupal yet.

clarification
by "below" I meant when you're creating new content -whatever kind -, below the text area you'll be able to attach files
so if you're creating a new blog, or page, or book, or forum topic, or whatever, there'll be a menu in the "Create new whatever" screen below where you enter the text that sez "file attatchments" - that's where you attach files - graffix, pdfs, docs, spreadsheets, mp3s... anything on your computer - current limit of 5 meg unless you get fancy. which you can. see above.
if you're not salivating - that means any of us can upload mp3s to share with the rest of the collective - and the public can give us mp3s to play! Hot shit! While they're chatting with us in the middle of the show! Damnation! We'll have a forum dedicated to it. Shit!

registered users can now upload up to 5 mb, collective members can upload up to 8 mb (or more, if they want to use FTP).
I have also created a "music sharing" forum for anyone to post mp3s they want us djs to rock.
